Glass Fusing is so HOT it's COOL!
What is Glass Fusing?
Glass fusing is the process of using the high heat of a kiln to melt two or more pieces of glass together. The kiln-fired design is your fused glass art masterpiece!

Is there an age requirement to work with glass?
Yes, due to safety concerns we require that artists be a minimum of 7 years old when working with pre-cut glass Kits. For projects requiring the scoring & breaking of glass to produce free form designs, artists must be 12 years old or older.

How does it work?
  1. Select a glass project - we have a Project Idea Book to inspire you or you can choose from one of our many pre-cut glass kits.
  2. Choose your colors - we have over 30 colors of glass.
  3. Give us about 15 minutes of your listening ears as we go over instructions for glass cutting, fusing and, most importantly, glass safety basics.
  4. Cut and/or arrange your design.
  5. Your glass project is now ready for fusing in our kiln! 

What does it cost?
Glass projects range from $12 - $60. The price of the project you select includes:
  • Base glass blank
  • Up to 3 layers of design glass
  • Use of tools, design materials, fusing
And of course, our friendly staff are happy to assist you in any way possible!
Slumping, specialty glass and accessories are extra.
 
What is "slumping"?
Slumping is shaping a fused glass piece by bending it over or into a mold. Slumping fee is an additional $6 - $8 per project.


Glass fusing is offered on a walk-in basis, no class or appointment is needed! Seating in our glass fusing center is limited though so if you plan on coming in to experience glass fusing with 3 or more friends please call ahead.

10 am - 9 pm*

* Note that we reserve the right to close one hour before posted closing time if  there are no artists seated at that time. So we kindly ask that you plan your pick-ups and creative experience with that in mind - just call ahead if you are coming in close to closing time. Thank you!
