Glass Fusing is so HOT it's COOL!
What is Mosaic Glass Fusing & when is it available to do?
Glass fusing is the process of using the high heat of a kiln to melt two or more pieces of glass together. The kiln-fired design is your fused glass art masterpiece!
Glass projects are made mosaic style, arranging and layering pieces of glass to create designs on a flat glass blank. The glass blank is your "canvas".
The initial firing fuses all the glass together and the project remains flat. A second firing, draping or slumping the flat fused glass over or in a mold will shape the glass project.
Glass fusing projects, whether it's a "Design your Own" or "Designed by Hue" project using pre-cut glass can be created by artists over the age of 7 at any time during the studios regular hours.
How it works:
Choose either a Design Your Own or Designed by Hue Project!
Design Your Own Project:
  1. Choose a glass blank (3 inch - 10 inch square or circle).
  2. Choose design glass in the colors and shapes you need to create your mosaic style design. All the glass is pre-cut for you.
  3. Arrange and glue all design glass on the glass blank.
  4. We fire your project to fuse all the glass together.
  5. Choose whether your project will remain flat or fired a 2nd time to slump it into a shape (candle holder, letter holder, bowl or plate)

Pricing:

Price of Glass Blank ($12 - $60) includes glass blank & all solid color translucent and/or opaque glass

  3. We fire your project to fuse all the glass together and slump when the project requires shaping.
